One of my favorite examples of the beauty of multimedia, with
seamless integration of hypertext, eye-popping graphics, audio clips, and
animation by Dimitri Novus, web-weaver extraordinaire. Pages on McKenna,
Lilly, Leary/RAW, Gracie and Zarkov, Alan Watts, Shamanism and plenty of
multidisciplinary, cross-cultural info applicable to the entheogenic path.
A great general information repository for all of the major classes
of entheogens, with an emphasis on the botanicals. Lots of data on cultivation,
extraction and usage of diverse plant species and chemicals, plus many
rare articles and papers in hypertext.
A highly informative "e-zine" devoted to entheogens. The content
is constantly changing and always intelligent & informative. Well worth
a look.
In my humble opinion, this site is the absolute standard-bearer
for Web entheo-libraries; the best all-around entheogen-related resource
on the web, bar none. The Vaults are a very well maintained, impeccably
organized fountainhead of all sorts of information of interest to enlightened
individuals. Their Psychoactives Pages contain all of the essential information
on a variety of chemical and botanical boundary-dissolving agents, including
a very well chosen selection of trip reports for each. If you can't find
it here, it probably isn't worth your time.
Home of the archives of the late usenet newsgroup alt.drugs.
The quality of on-line discussion on usenet drug channels has sadly declined
(luckily, there are other options; see Mailing Lists), but during the net's
infancy such newsgroups were the initial nexus for computer-using entheofolk
to come together and build a community. The site is no longer currently
maintained or updated, but is available as a "historical snapshot" via
the kind folks over at Erowid. It's a good thing, too, because there is
a whole lot of good info to be found there.
Dimitri strikes again! An astounding co-mapping of quantum physics,
celtic mythology, vedic philosophy, psychic phenomena, tantra, and tryptamines,
served up with style and panache to spare.
The Lycaeum, while initially a vibrantly alive meeting
place for digital entheonauts, now stands as a sad study in promise unfulfilled.
Infighting and squabbles among the visionary few who initiated what once
seemed such a grand endeavour, combined with a lack of clear leadership,
have allowed what I once considered to be the jewel in the crown of the
Entheogenic Internet to become just another information repository. There
is certainly useful information to be found here, but most of it can be
found presented more coherently at other places, such as Erowid.
An impressive multimedia presentation by Psychedelic Illuminations
magazine's James Kent that is concerned with "the metaphysical manipulation
of reality and all of its inerrelated meta-realities, pseudo- realities,
virtual-realities, and hyper-realities."
Concerned with "all things noetic (relating to consciousness),"
this page contains a relatively small amount of drug data and two McKenna
excerpts, but is a rich source for education on a host of closely related
subjects such as cyberspace, memetics, and techno-shamanism, to name but
a few.
The ultimate entheogen-related database/search engine with a
scope so vast it's dizzying to contemplate. If you can't find it here,
you're probably S.O.L...
David Laurence's well organized archives.
All the major players are represented here, along with good chemistry
data and some cool articles unavailable elsewhere.
