Riddlekisses

bird flies beneath moon

I dreamt of kisses last night
those soft ones
you give
just beneath my chin
or on my cheek

In my dream your lips
told riddles
their playful, giggling voices
teasing me with awareness
mystery
crazy things
all filled with truth

I woke once
then closed my eyes
wondering about understanding
guessing answers to questions
trying but not knowing

when I slept again
those curious creatures!
the kisses came back
snorting, snickering, laughing

I saw part of the riddle then,
chuckled,
returned warm eager lips
and woke, mouth pressed to yours
in a house of brilliant forgotten color.
